First Flight of Dragonfly - April 15th thru 17th

Sister-in-laws,
Leslie and Alycia Matthews are making their dream come true. We’ve always wanted to have an antique business together and on Thursday, April 15 through Saturday the 17th we begin our new adventure - “Market on Dragonfly Hill”. Leslie has always called her home “Dragonfly Hill,” the name comes from all the dragonfly’s that whirl around the property.

The Market on Dragonfly Hill will be a unique shopping experience, set in Leslie’s beautiful new barn that she and her husband Tony built, located up their winding drive in Byfield. It’s a once a month, 3-day event, from April through November. Each month is a new theme - this month’s Grand Opening theme is “Swing into Spring”. Outside of the barn and in the greenhouse will be filled with patio and gardening delights.

Leslie has been an antique/vintage dealer in shops in and around the Newburyport area for years, she is also one of the dealers at Flukes & Finds & Friends in downtown Nbpt. Alycia is an artist that works in papier mache sculptures, which she will be featuring at Dragonfly Hill, but she also likes to get her power tools out and create new furniture from old pieces. Leslie and Alycia both like to be “Green” by repurposing and refurbishing old furniture, giving it a new life.

We also have eight local antique dealers setting up their wares inside and outside of the barn too. Treasures both old and new; Vintage furniture, refurbished, repurposed, shabby chic, cottage and cabin style, collectibles, linens, art, jewelry, and so much more.

What makes Dragonfly Hill unique is that every Saturday of market, local artists and handcrafters will be setting up their tents on Dragonfly Hill’s lawn for an Artist Market, beginning on Saturday, April 17.
